Portrait of Eileen Mayo, English-born artist and designer by Edith Lawrence, painted in 1926. The painting was part of a private collection in Paris until purchased by its present owner in 2018. Edith Lawrence, a student of the Slade School of Art in London between 1910 and 1914, exhibited paintings at both the Royal Academy and the New English Art Club. Both Lawrence and Mayo were highly talented and multi-disciplined artists, choosing to work in a multitude of mediums but best known for their printmaking.
