An early Georgian house on Well Walk, Hampstead. This was home to John Keats and his brothers George and Tom; they moved here in April 1817. After Tom died of consumption and George emigrated to America in late 1818, Keats moved to Wentworth House on Keats Grove. The original building dates to the early 1700s with late 18th and late 19th century alterations. Essentially the house’s outward appearance hasn’t changed much other than the addition of iron railings at roof level and the sensitively positioned alarm box over the front window. The house is unusual for its Gothic style 1st floor oriel and 2nd floor ogee windows. Recently let by Savills.
